About this pop-up
The Myeongnyang Great Victory Festival is a history and culture festival commemorating the 1597 victory at the Battle of Myeongnyang, won at Uldolmok by the Joseon navy led by Admiral Yi Sun-sin together with fishermen from Jeolla Province. Visitors can enjoy a multimedia naval battle reenactment using ICT convergence technology, naval and ceremonial parades, local performances, and hands-on history and culture programs. Explore historic sites in Jindo and Haenam while reflecting on the meaning of the victory and the spirit of defending the nation.
