About this pop-up

The Gwacheon Performing Arts Festival, launched in 1997 as Korea’s first street theater festival, presents high-quality outdoor theater and street performances from Korea and abroad every September. It has grown into one of Asia’s leading performing arts festivals, welcoming more than 100,000 visitors each year. Since 2023, it has been run as a plaza-centered festival where citizens actively take part in the arts.
