2026 Geumnam-ro Car-Free Street “Geotja-ing”

“Geotja-ing” combines a local dialect expression with the English present-progressive ending “-ing” to invite everyone to walk along and enjoy Geumnam-ro together. In line with Gwangju’s transition toward a city centered on public transportation, bicycles, and walking, the event promotes climate action while creating an urban space for relaxation and connection. It takes place on the first Saturday of each month from April through November 2026, offering a car-free environment with hands-on activities and cultural performances.
