About this pop-up
Hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Craft & Design Foundation at Kyobo Book Centre’s Gwanghwamun branch, this special exhibition presents 11 books made with hanji by Moonji Publishing, Munhakdongne, Minumsa, BIR Publishing, and Changbi. Visitors can join a letterpress printing activity and leave a message supporting the inscription of hanji on UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Participants in the support event receive a traditional hanji bookmark, while letterpress participants receive a postcard featuring the December page of a traditional hanji calendar. The support event runs twice on weekdays, at 2 PM and 5 PM; follow Instagram @kcdf_insta for more information.
