This pop-up blends SpongeBob with the distinctive atmosphere of Gyeongju, featuring photo zones and exclusive merchandise such as a decorative roof-tile magnet, a Cheomseongdae incense-holder set, and traditional norigae acrylic keychains. Visitors can receive a random photo card by presenting a receipt from a participating Geumnidan-gil shop, earn a Golden City badge by posting proof of SpongeBob stickers found at three or more local shops to Instagram Stories, or receive a special shopping bag with merchandise purchases of KRW 30,000 or more; daily giveaways are limited while supplies last. The pop-up runs from October 21 to 25, 2026, on the first floor of the former Daewang Cinema in Gyeongju’s Geumnidan-gil area, with walk-in entry after on-site waiting and no advance reservation required.
